Engagements inĀ focus
RECKITT
Reckitt is a global consumer goods company specialising in health, hygiene and nutrition products. Its well-known brands include Dettol, Harpic and Lysol. At the end of 2024, we met with Reckitt to address executive remuneration, board structure and effectiveness. In our latest meeting, we continued our conversation on board structure and effectiveness and discussed aspects of carbon emissions reduction and the product life cycle.
SYSTEMATIC STEWARDSHIP (RUPI) ENGAGEMENT
This quarter, we launched our systematic stewardship engagements with companies including US homebuilder Toll Brothers, Japanese real estate developer Kasumigaseki Capital and Micronics Japan, which produces semiconductor measuring and testing equipment. These firms were shortlisted for engagement based on a range of factors, most notably because they have low absolute RUPI scores, lag their global peers and have low sub-scores for disclosure of the extra-financial data we track. Our discussions with these companies focused on learning more about potential plans to enhance their disclosures. In our engagement with Toll Brothers, we also focused on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting and quantitative human capital data, which we deemed the most material factors.
